Meet Talon, a 2023 graduate of Tonopah High School, pictured here on a JAG Nevada career exploration trip to Kinross Gold Corporation.
Seeing careers up close helped Talon envision a future in the mining industry. After graduation, he put that vision into action, landing a job as a haul truck operator with KGHM Robinson Nevada Mining Company in Ely, Nevada. He parlayed that experience and recently accepted a position at Kinross Gold in Round Mountain, Nevada where he expects to earn six figures this year.
If they can’t see it, they can’t be it. Through career exploration and ongoing support, JAG Nevada opens doors and helps young people turn possibilities into careers.
