Jasmine’s Story

Jasmine’s senior year at Reno High School became a powerful example of perseverance, growth, and the impact of a supportive community.

Entering the 2025-26 school year, Jasmine faced the challenge of making up nine credits. Determined to reach her goal, she stayed focused and worked tirelessly to get back on track. On June 13, she proudly walked across the stage with her Reno High School classmates.

Her accomplishments extend far beyond graduation. Jasmine reduced her absences from 84 as a freshman to just 11 during her senior year, recovered all of her missing credits, and was recognized as Reno High School’s Student of the Month. In May, she added another achievement to her growing list when an article she wrote on improving public transit access was published.

Jasmine’s success reflects not only her own determination, but also the power of a school community working together to support students as they discover their strengths and pursue their goals.

Students like Jasmine remind us why we do this work. We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and look forward to seeing where her voice and leadership will take her next.
